Corporate Social Responsibility
Social Responsibility Performance Status
It refers to the company's system and measure with respect to environmental protection, community participation, society contribution, social service, social welfare, consumer benefit, human rights, safety and health, and other social responsibility activities as well as the performance status. Our company integrates the corporate social responsibility and care of public welfare or disadvantaged group, energy-saving and carbon protection for the protection of the earth, cultivation of healthy and happy Genesis people into the profession of information service business, in light of fulfilling the social responsibility in an active attitude.
The sales targets of products or services of our company are directed to corporate customers rather than general consumers; therefore, the “Customer and Supplier Relationship” is explained instead of the statement on “Consumer Rights and Interests.” The following provides detailed explanations:
1.Environmental Protection :
- Our company is not in the manufacturing industry but in the business of information system purchase, sales, and service. In addition, professional manpower services are mainly provided; therefore, no environmental pollution is generated, and the ISO14001 environment certification is not applicable. Our company distributes green IT products and assists customers in achieving energy saving in information products.
- Approval process has been changed from written approval to electronic approval, and more than 8,000 papers are saved monthly.
- The traditional copy machine has been replaced by a digital scanner copy machine, and the scanning method of documents into electronic files is promoted in order to save a large quantity of paper for printing. More than 7,000 sheets of paper are saved monthly to achieve energy saving and carbon reduction.
- Our company establishes management policies for energy-saving, greenhouse gas emission reduction, reduction of water consumption and other wastes as follows:
- We promote the temperature setting of the air conditioner between 26~28 degrees Celsius to reduce air condition loading. In addition, old and obsolete air conditioning equipment is replaced, and the air conditioner is set to be turned off automatically for the period between 10:00PM and 8:00AM of next morning, thereby achieving the effect of saving 20%~30% of electricity and reduction of carbon dioxide emission.
- Operation service and financial and accounting department office area is further installed with energy-saving equipment. The turning off of power not in use at all time is promoted to achieve the energy-saving effect.
- Office lighting adopts LED lighting fixtures of high performance, long lifetime and low power consumption. It is more energy-saving than conventional incandescent lamps. Light is more comfortable and protective to the vision of employees using computers for the long term. In addition, the lighting fixtures are of lower attrition rate and are able to reduce environmental pollution.
- Office areas are installed with garbage classification bins and recyclable bins. Recycling materials and plastic bottles are submitted to the building management for uniform handling and recycling, allowing recycled plastic bottles to be made into clothes and carpets as rescue materials. Papers and cartons are recycled and made into recycled papers and recycled books, achieving effective use of resources.
Our company is in the business information service rather than the manufacturing industry. The main scope of business refers to the sale of information software and hardware, consulting service and after-sale service as well as the coding and development of application software; therefore, the company does not involve the use of a large amount of electricity and water, such that there is no damage to the ecological environment.
2.Social Participation and Social Welfare:
- We set up the invoice donation box in the company, and there is an average of 100 invoices received monthly. The collected invoices are delivered to Hsinchu Saint Joseph Social Welfare Foundation.
- We also set up the company's coin donation box, and the coins collected are delivered to the Eden Social Welfare Foundation.
- Employees are encouraged to join the Society of Wilderness in order to assist the promotion of environmental protection activities through natural education, habitat conservation and protection actions.
3.Customer and Supplier Relationship:
- Customer Relationship.
To cope with the market environment of rapid changes, Genesis considers “Innovation” as the core value in priority and implements advanced technologies and professional services to fully understand and satisfy customer demands in accordance with the definition of “Customer Satisfaction” at the same time, in order to further achieve “Expect Customer Demands, and Exceed Customer Expectation” and to encourage employees to provide services and products exceeding customer satisfaction, thereby allowing customers to become trusted business partners and to jointly achieve wonderful working and living environment.
- Supplier Relationships:
Our main suppliers are domestic and giant foreign leading enterprises. We have signed distribution agreements with all suppliers and actively engage in various seminars to improve the company's technologies and maintain excellent interaction with suppliers. In recent years, climate change and restriction on harmful substance control have become important corporate social responsibility issues. Supply chain promotion and execution are necessary to obtain the maximum outcome. Accordingly, we also list such requirements as a key point to corporate social responsibility while actively promoting green products complying with RoHS
4.Safety and Health:
Providing a safe and healthy working environment to employees is one of the fundamental obligations of Genesis as a corporate citizen. The key tasks related to occupational safety and health promoted by us include the following:
- Safety and Health Education and Emergency Response Training:
To enhance employees' occupational safety and health knowledge, our company promotes occupational safety and health information. In addition, we also establish the emergency response team and organize fire training in cooperation with the building management to ensure personnel safety and reduce disaster loss.
- Promote Employee Health::
We provide employee health examination and group insurance free of charge to employees. In addition, we also provide medical-related information to employees for reference and care of health, thereby ensuring that employees are able to care for individual health conditions while focusing on their work.
- The Hsinchu headquarters is also established with various clubs such as badminton club, computer and comic club, entertainment club, photography club, and movie club.
- Employees are encouraged to join these clubs in light of improving the recreation sports, physical and mental balance of employees while enhancing the interaction and bonding among employees.
5.Human Rights, Employee Interests and Employee Care:
Employees are the most important assets of the company. Accordingly, our company establishes an Employee Policy for proper compliance and implementation.
- Prohibition on the employment of child labor. In addition, employees are permitted to resign at any time under the condition where advance notice is provided.
- Employees shall be protected from harassment and discrimination: Any employees or job applicants are not subject to any discriminatory treatment due to race, gender, nationality, religion, disease or other factors.
- Employees’ remuneration complies with relevant laws, including the minimum wage and welfare benefits prescribed in the laws.
Employee welfare of our company is described in the following:
- Full-year salary, and year-end bonus, performance bonus and employee shareholding trust
- Leave system superior to the regulations of Labor Standards Act. Labor insurance, health insurance and pension appropriation.
- Organization of employee health examination periodically at free of charge.
- Company makes full payment for employee group insurance.
- Periodic organization of domestic or foreign group tourism activities and club activities annually.
- Maternity allowance, marriage gift money and funeral condolence money allowance, holiday gift vouchers, birthday gift vouchers, movie tickets and hospital consolation money, year-end party dinner and lottery activity, long-term employee and outstanding employee awards and incentives, etc.
